This pared down recording, performed by 4th grade sibling powerhouse Art and Havion was the only post-Katrina anthem the kids wrote. The students were reluctant to discuss their experiences in the summer of 2005, when this track was recorded. They showed great resilience, mostly desiring to move ahead and think about the future.
lyrics
"My name is Havion, I'm only nine/ I live in New Orleans, I have a, a great time/ next year I'm goin' into the fifth/ holla' at me if you're not stiff/ and I'll hit you with a whiff of intelligence/ Hurricane Katrina tried to mess up my life/ but now I'm doing (ha) just right."
